This spring I was in, Effective Communication in the Workplace (2025sp2rcom4001). I think my grade did not get updated. I received a 93.96 % but my final grade showed on my system at Marshall as a "B". According to the syllabus, I achieved more than enough total point to get an"A". I spoke with my RBA advisor and he suggested that I speak with you first before escalating it at the University level. We both felt it was just an oversite and probablly an easy fix. I was told to contact my instructor but have no way of getting in touch with her. I'm am not sure who i need to talk with at WV ROCKS but this was the only way i found to send a message since the class is now locked. Thank you for your help. Barsha Whaley

I am Shannon Griffin, the Research and Strategic Development Specialist at Catholic International University, which is based in Charles Town, WV. As an accredited university only offering courses online, Catholic International offers personal and relational online courses to students in a growing number of fields. We are interested in learning more about WV Rocks and potential collaboration. To that end, I have some questions for you.

Does each university which collaborates with WVRocks need to offer the Regent's Bachelor of Arts? If so, would you please share details as to what the Regent's BA would include in its studies?

Is it possible for a university to collaborate with WVRocks simply by offering its online courses by which students enrolled in other universities can take the online courses?

Good afternoon! I've just learned that I am 0.26 credit hours short of being able to graduate in May. To avoid taking a one-hour class during the summer, would it be possible to enroll in a Spring 2025 second 8-week class at this time? I currently maintain a 4.0 GPA and am fully committed to securing an advisor's approval if required. I would diligently to catch up on any course material. Thank you!

In an email I received this morning from West Virgina University I was informed that they do not accept WV Rocks courses. I was under the impression the WV Rocks was effort to help those pursing an RBA degree. Thank-you in advance for your response.

Hi, my name is Brett Wall. I work at the Putnam County Library for a woman named Megan Tarbett, who is the director. I've been here for seven years, starting when I was 17. I previously attended West Virginia State University and Southern New Hampshire University. Unfortunately, due to various events, I was never able to obtain a degree. Recently I heard about a new library program starting in West Virginia and I wanted to find out what steps I needed to take to become qualified to attend those courses. I have been in contact with Concord University pertaining to their RBA degree. I was told that I can choose any area of Emphasis, but that only their Early Childhood emphasis is recognized by the Department of Education. However, when I look on the WVRocks site, and look up areas of emphasis by Institution, Concord is only listed as offering the Early childhood emphasis. Marshall and other Institutions offer many more like communications, geography, sociology, etc.
Does Concord only have the Early Childhood Development emphasis on RBA programs now?

I need to enroll in a college and it's an open enrollment school that I wouldn't have to wait months to start. However I'm upset because I need the wv grant and aid programs . I need help enrolling in a eligible wv institution that tis taking students and staring within the next month.. Hello, I’ve been recently looking into going back to college for my bachelor’s and I’ve completed 1 year of classes through 2 institutions. I was curious as to how this program works and how I could get started with it.

Good morning. On behalf of the Stubblefield Institute for Civil Political Communications, located on the campus of Shepherd University, I extend an invitation to your students to participate in our Community Leadership & Civil Advocacy (CLCA) Certificate program beginning in September 2024.

The CLCA uses a combination of online self-paced modules, virtual workshops, hands-on learning, participation in civic or community activities, and mentoring to help students develop their leadership and advocacy skills and explore civic engagement.

The CLCA is unique because of its collaborative approach. We are creating a network of organizations that teach components of these skills so that we aren’t duplicating efforts within the state and region. This network will also allow students to network with future employers and connect with people who are working to address the needs of our communities. To date, organizations with whom the Stubblefield Institute is already collaborating to offer programming for this certificate include Unify America, the Center for Constructive Dialogue, the Shepherd University Multicultural Leadership Team, and the Interactivity Foundation.
